Fran suspended

Fran has been suspended 1 Game. I think it brings up some interesting questions.  I am all for the suspension. I think it is funny he got suspended for Fran bobblehead night... but we can now get one on Jan. 19.  Hope it has a red face.

The B1G suspending Fran is perplexing to me.  I  think he deserved a game, but now-- coaches can go off and show emotion and get suspended, but players can flip people off before a bowl game and not have any repercussions?  I think it smells of hypocrisy.  Players should be held as responsible.  Are coaches role models? Sure are. But Players need to be held just as responsible. If this was before the NCAA tournament would Fran be suspended? I doubt it and that is wrong. Same rules for all throughout.

One could argue the coaches are in a tougher spot because of the pressures to win and they are reacting to tough officiating. Fran was right to go off, but not so extreme. It potentially cost the team a game and cost him a game on the bench and the team 10 large. Again, I am glad he got suspended, I just think all players or coaches need to be held accountable for their behavior.~Chuck

I am of the opinion that coaches should be able to publicly question refs after the games due to the same pressure to win. I think that if coaches could do this you would see better officiated games. Don't protect the refs from public scrutiny, because they publicly screwed a team with their calls.
